Joburg’s Own Apples, Now LA-Based, Drops “Magic” — A Powerful New Single This Women’s Month!

Johannesburg- [August 2025] — Born in the Eastern Cape and raised in Johannesburg, now based in LA, singer-songwriter Apples is stepping boldly this Women’s Month into her next chapter with the release of her brand-new single, “Magic.” A hypnotic, emotionally charged track, “Magic” reflects not only her artistry but her journey—from local roots to global reach.

“My creativity, strength, and confidence were. That city shaped the woman and artist I am today, and no matter how far I go, I carry it with me.”

Co-written with Marc Williams and produced by Indasoul Entertainment, “Magic” is both cinematic and deeply personal. The track explores the chaotic beauty of falling for someone who may not be right for you—but whose presence feels irresistible. Apples leans fully into that tension, offering a lush soundscape paired with raw, unfiltered emotion.

“Magic is about owning your vulnerability—about loving without caution, even when it hurts,” she explains. “It’s about trusting your feelings, and sometimes, that’s the real risk.”

While her debut single “Hamba Nawe” celebrated her South African heritage and Afropop roots, “Magic” unveils a new layer of her sound—one that’s polished, pop-driven, and globally positioned. But at the heart of it remains the soul of a Joburg girl who dared to dream bigger.

Before entering the music industry, Apples earned accolades as a model and cultural ambassador, winning Top Model North Coast, Mrs. Queen of South Africa, and securing a gold medal at iPOP Los Angeles. Now in her thirties, she’s stepping into music with intention, depth, and a powerful message of self-definition.

Recently named one of NY Weekly’s Top 20 Inspirational Women to Watch in 2025, Apples is fast becoming a name to watch. “Magic” is more than just a song—it’s the start of a new era for an artist unafraid to merge vulnerability with vision, and proudly wave her flag while doing it.

“Magic” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
