
The second season of Texas oil field drama Landman comes to M-Net, Express from the US, in prime time, on November 17th. The series launches in the US on 16 November and will feature stars including Oscar® winner Billy Bob Thornton, Oscar nominee Demi Moore, Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, Oscar nominee Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
The original drama series stars Oscar® winner Billy Bob Thornton, Oscar nominee Demi Moore, Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, Oscar nominee Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
The show ranked as a top 10 SVOD original series across all SVODs for Q4 in 2024, with the premiere episode setting new viewership records for Paramount+ with 35 million global streaming viewers. It became the #1 Paramount+ Original ever on the service, the #1 engagement driver and #1 in households. Additionally, Billy Bob Thornton scored a Golden Globe® nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Tommy Norris.
Landman is led by Thornton as Tommy Norris, the overseer of an oil-drilling operation in west Texas. He does the daily dirty work of managing crews in the world’s largest oil field, fending off cartel competition. It’s a world where roughnecks and wildcat billionaires are fuelling a boom so big it’s reshaping the climate, the economy and the geopolitics of the region.
The series is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace and executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Wallace, Billy Bob Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay. Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment, and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly also executive produce. Tommy Turtle serves as co-executive producer.
