Mzansi Magic’s Inimba is back for a second season on the back of five SAFTA nominations, including Best Telenovela and Most Popular TV Soap or Telenovela.
S2 opens with the families of Zoleka Bikitsha and Lazarus Ngcukana coming together for a celebration of love, where the arrival of Lazarus’s cousin, Azande, ignites a silent war over succession inside the Ngcukana empire.
SAFTA nominee Lunathi Mampofu plays Zoleka opposite SAFTA winner Loyiso MacDonald as Lazarus, with SAFTA nominee Siya Sepotokele joining the cast as Azande. Zenande Mfenyana also returns in her SAFTA-nominated and National Film and Television Award-winning role as Thumeka, who is trying to move on from grief and redefine her dignity this season.

GHOST ELEPHANTS

Ghost Elephants follows a decade-long quest into the remote highland plateaus of Angola to track down a nocturnal and silent herd, rarely seen but intrinsically tied to local beliefs.
South African naturalist and National Geographic Explorer Dr Steve Boyes believes these silent forest dwellers could belong to a previously-undiscovered lineage of giant African elephants – related to the largest land mammal ever recorded. But can he find them?
Directed by Oscar nominee Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), the documentary reunites the team behind the Emmy-nominated documentary Into the Okavango and the podcast Guardians of the River.
At its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, Ghost Elephants received a Special Mention for its treatment of environmental issues. The documentary holds a 100% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with The Hollywood Reporter describing it as “a poetic exploration of human obsession and mysterious nature.”

Survivor USA reaches its 50th season with a fan-driven format that allows viewers to vote on key elements of the game. Set in London in 1946, this mystery series centres on bookshop owner Gabriel Book, who uses skills gained during wartime espionage to help the police solve unusual cases, while concealing a secret about his personal life at a time when homosexuality was illegal.
Emmy-winning Bookish creator Mark Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock) stars as Book, opposite Golden Globe nominee Polly Walker (Bridgerton, Rome) as his wife.
Already renewed for a second season, Bookish has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score. “Mark Gatiss’s cosy crime drama is a tasty nugget of absolute delight,” says The Guardian. “Meticulously worked, beautifully paced and decidedly moreish.”
