Week 3 – Big Brother Mzansi BAZOZWA: A Week of AMA VIP

Johannesburg, 29 January 2026: Following the first eviction this past Sunday, the Big Brother Mzansi: Bazozwa house has been filled with tension, high emotion as well as power plays, putting relationships and alliances to the test.

Tumi The Barber Wins Head of House (HoH)

This week, after an intense HoH challenge that tested focus and stamina, Tumi the Barber came out tops and is reigning supreme as the week’s Head of House. His win automatically guaranteed him immunity and set the tone for a dramatic week marked by confrontation, accountability and changing alliances.

Joining him in the HoH suite is Buhle B who will be safe from eviction as she is this week’s HoH guest. Meanwhile, Bravo B and Kokii remain untouchable after being chosen by last week’s Head of House (HoH) Dube in a twist by Biggie called the Untouchable Pick.

Theme of the week: Ama VIP

This week, the House becomes a real-life version of the apps we live on. Popularity isn’t just vibes anymore… it influences privileges, relationships, and who really runs the House for the week.

For the Bazozwa housemates, this week has proven hard to ignore. Head of House (HoH), Tumi the Barber convened a house meeting to address issues of respect, behaviour and accountability. He warned the housemates that negative attitudes were ruining things in the house, which can sabotage team’s success in future wagers as well as relationships. He urged the housemates to prioritise mutual respect and call out bad behaviour saying, “If you want respect, give it!”

Week 3 Nominations: Ten Housemates Up for Eviction

This week, Dene Jones, Didi, Ilano, King Wanda, Liema, Mashel, Mmeli, Que, and Thandeka, meanwhile on Monday while reading out the nominated housemates – Biggie asked HoH, Tumi the Barber to stand and told him  “As the supreme HoH, your powers include the killer nomination”, that meant he had to nominate one housemate on the spot – who will join the nine nominated housemates and he added Ramona for possible eviction. This heightened the already existing tension and nerves which tested some alliances and caused whispers to echo around the house. Voting for this week’s nominated housemates closes tonight at 21:00. Fans are encouraged to cast their votes to ensure their favourite housemate secures a spot in the competition for another week.

The Big 6

Conversations around the so-called ‘Big 6’ resurfaced and took center stage. The named housemates in this group: Dube, Kokii, Mmeli, Thandeka, Trixie, Bravo B and Liema, also dubbed the ‘A-listers’, caused a lot of debate about these housemates and their standing in the house. Rather than distancing himself from the label, Dube leaned in on it saying that if they are seen as the Big 6, “maybe it’s because we are the strongest players.”

In a statement that seemed to deepen the divide between the existing cliques in the house, Thandeka confidently claimed that any other housemate placed against the Big 6 crew may as well give up!

Relationships are Shipping

Trixie & Bravo: After Sunday Live show expose, things have been rocky for the pair since then…Trixie had to pull Bravo aside to have an honest conversation. Trixie feels that there is no ship after Sunday.

The Don & Neliswa: This ship seems to be sailing without trembles…with 100% chance of continuing outside Big Brother’s house.

Tumi the Barber & Buhle B: Buhle B was so proud of Tumi the Barber for winning the HoH. She was confused as to why other housemates don’t want to see the good in their relationship. How far will this ship go?

Mmeli & Thandeka: his ship has its ups and downs and these two are sticking together through thick and thin. Or not?

Dube & Kokki:  Kokki declared her affection for Dube – who turned her down, but his actions prove otherwise? They tuck each other in – sharing looks across the room.

Sponsor Challenge by King Pie

The housemates were blindfolded and had to identify different gourmet pie flavours during a high-pressure puzzle round.  Mmeli was the one who showcased quick thinking and sharp taste buds when he won the King Pie Match the Taste challenge, winning R5 000.

Wager Task

Tensions are at an all-time high as housemates gather and there seems to be no unity. Thandeka indicated that she will not participate in the wager during her session with Big Sister. Tune in to see if Biggie will be impressed with the Wager presentation tonight at 17.30.
