Week 7: Ashay becomes HoH & Nine housemates are Up for Eviction

Ashay BBMzansi 2026 Profile / Bio, Age, Occupation

Johannesburg, 24 February 2026: This Sunday’s eviction may have shaken the house yet again, but Big Brother wasted no time in turning things up in the Bazozwa house. From the nail-biting Head of House battle to the intense face-to-face nominations and a thought-provoking wager task, the housemates have their work cut out for them in Week 7 of Big Brother Mzansi S6.

The Head of House (HoH) Challenge

Last night, 23 February, Ashay finally had his moment in the spotlight, clinching the Head of House (Hoh) title after a showdown against Mmeli and Que in the final round. The win gives him power as well as pressure, as he has to shoulder the responsibility of steering the house through the week’s challenges.

Adding another twist to the night, Biggie reintroduced the Untouchables Pick and Ashay selected The Don, automatically granting him immunity from the week’s nominations. The victory may feel comfortable for now, but as Mzansi knows very well, leading this crew is never a walk in the park!

Face-to-Face Nominations

Just when the housemates thought they could catch their breath, Biggie brought back the spicy face-to-face nominations and as expected, it got personal real quick.

Here’s how the housemates cast their votes:

  • The Don nominated Que and Thandeka
  • Ilano nominated Thandeka and King Wanda
  • Liema nominated Que and Thandeka
  • Ashay nominated Que and Mmeli
  • King Wanda nominated Que and Mmeli
  • Didi nominated Thandeka and Mmeli
  • Trixie nominated Thandeka and Que
  • Que nominated King Wanda and Bravo B
  • Thandeka nominated Trixie and Didi
  • Bravo B nominated Que and Ilano
  • Mmeli nominated King Wanda and Liema

By the end of the dramatic session, Didi, Liema, Bravo B, Ilano, King Wanda, Mmeli, Que, Trixie and Thandeka found themselves nominated and looking at possible eviction this Sunday.

The Week’s Theme: CLOCK IT

Call-Outs & Clap Backs

To wrap up an already explosive evening, Biggie unveiled the week’s wager task that aligns to the week’s theme of Clock It, which pushes the housemates into some serious self-reflection. They will have to face their past words, actions and the image they have been putting out. It’s a full-on personal audit complete with no-filter call-outs and clap backs.

Their wager task is to create a short skit portraying a day in the life of a Big Brother housemate from their own perspective, a task that is about self-awareness, accountability…and knowing the Bazozwa house, this will come with a dash of shade!

Expect anonymous call-out letters, tribunals, facing the elephant in the room, confrontations, confessions and the Bazozwa Boombox secretly-recorded convos.

With nine housemates looking to survive eviction and a leadership test ahead of him, all eyes are on Ashay. Can he get the house to work together and secure another wager win or will the pressure of the HoH crown and the wager tasks prove too heavy?
