NO PEACE in Naturena.

PSL NEWS

Speaking to the media shortly after their 1-0 win over Moroka Swallows in the DStv Premiership at Dobsonville. According to the report, the black players claim that ‘coloured’ players are treated better by the club’s management.

Johnson says they don’t have any racial tensions in their camp.

” Kaizer Chiefs being the brand they are, I think there are a lot of people that look to take this bring this big brand to a lower level because in reality there’s no brand that’s as strong as this brand,” Johnson said.

These allegations and disciplinary problems at the club come at a time when Chiefs are struggling to turn things around and bring success to the club, now going to a ninth year without silverware.

They are already on their second coach this season, and their chances for the league title, are very slim.

Johnson would have better been focusing on results than answering questions about matters off the field, but with a coaching career of more than three decades, he knows that this comes with the territory.

For me, yes I’ve had those issues at other clubs. It’s an African thing that we have to be able to manage and sometimes you have a lot of people who are able to manage it correctly and then you get it right. Sometimes you don’t have enough people to manage it and you get it wrong because you may be a dictator. You’re not a leader, things like that,” Johnson added.

With that said. Do you think Cavin Johnson deserves the role of head coach at Naturena?

MATCH DAY 5 IS BACK ON OUR TV SCREENS THIS WEEK. WITH MOST OF THE BIG NAME CLUBS HAVING QUALIFIED FOR THE ROUND OF 16 FIXTURES. WE TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE STAND OUT FIXTURES FOR THIS WEEK.

Paris vs Newcastle (21:00)

The Ligue 1 champions have a score to settle with the Magpies after going down 4-1 at St. James’ Park last month. Another defeat against Eddie Howe’s side at Parc des Princes would leave Luis Enrique’s men facing an uphill battle to qualify from Group F. “All four teams hold their fate in their hands,” said the 53-year-old after watching his team lose 2-1 at Milan. “They are still two matches to go and we can still progress.” The same goes for Newcastle, who remain just three points behind leaders Dortmund despite their 2-0 defeat in Germany last time out. “We’re probably going to have to win our last two games,” admitted Howe. “We accept [the situation] and have to look to the future now.”

Milan vs Dortmund (21:00)

With only two points separating third-placed Milan and Group F leaders Dortmund, the Rossoneri know victory at San Siro would leave them well-placed to book a last-16 berth for the second successive campaign. “We’re back in the mix for the group now,” Ruben Loftus-Cheek told UEFA.com after helping his side beat Paris on Matchday 4. “We have a really talented team. I think we can go far [in the competition].” Standing in Milan’s way are a Dortmund side who reached the summit thanks to back-to-back victories over Newcastle. “We’ve beaten an absolutely top outfit for the second time, and convincingly too,” forward Karim Adeyemi said after a 2-0 triumph on Matchday 4. “Nothing’s been decided yet, but we’re in a very good position.

Barcelona vs Porto (21:00)

Situations can change quickly in the Champions League. Barcelona seemed to be easing towards the last 16 after winning their first three games but they are now only three points ahead of third-placed Shakhtar after defeat against them on Matchday 3. Xavi Hernández is demanding a marked improvement. “We need to get back to our best,” said the Barcelona coach. “We aren’t pressing well enough, we aren’t concentrating well enough. The players need to step up.” João Mário realises that Porto, now level on points with the Blaugrana, are in a three-way qualification scrap. “We are only focused on what we can control: our matches and winning those,” he said. “Even if our rivals are Barcelona, we want to finish first.

RUGBY FOCUS

There’s no stopping the current Springbok squad, as the members of the World Cup-winning team continue to show their class while on duty for their respective clubs.

In France, Springbok skipper Siya Kolisi finally made his on-field debut for Racing 92 in their crunch clash against La Rochelle in Paris. Kolisi didn’t get on the scoresheet, but played a big role in his team’s superb 32-10 triumph over La Rochelle

Kolisi wasn’t the only Springbok who ended on the winning side on foreign soil this past weekend. Handre Pollard and Jasper Wiese were again the catalysts that set the Leicester Tigers on the winning path. While Wiese did a lot of hard graft up front, Pollard let his boot to the talking by contributing 18 points off the kicking tee in a 38-20 win for the Tigers.

The Bulls are starting to rumble – and they have room to get even better as more Springboks and other top players return from injury.

Scoring seven tries and a half-century of points against a competitive team such as Connacht was impressive enough, but it was the manner in which the Pretoria side did it in their 53-27 United Rugby Championship victory at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday that should send a warning to the other title contenders.

we got some post match insights from Blue Bulls head coach Jake White:

“… You don’t score 50 points against Connacht, and I don’t know when last they’ve had 50 points scored against them, so there’s a lot of confidence that you are going to get out of that.

“It’s not just about the points, but the interaction between forwards and backs. One of the best tries we scored was disallowed – everyone might have touched the ball in that sequence.

“That is the thing we have been working on for a long time, and when it comes to fruition against a really well-organised Connacht team, you get very pleased with that.

“I can’t believe he (Le Roux) gets all this flak. It’s the first time he’s played for the Bulls, but it looked like he’s been with us four years ago.

“He has unbelievable time (on the ball), he is very skilful, very clever. It’s almost like having a coach coaching them (his teammates) while it’s going on.”

The Blue Bulls take on The Sharks in their next URC match.
